Eilif Olesen understands the needs of his clients. From his days as a medic in the Army and throughout his years as a paramedic, he has been a hands-on type of person. These days, Olesen brings his compassion for people and his organizational skills to his position as founder and President of Olesen Logistical Management Group, Inc.
The company provides and manages a broad range of services including transportation, translation, rehabilitation equipment, assistive technology, medical supplies and other ancillary supplies as requested.
Headquartered in Clearwater, FL, Olesen choreographs services worldwide with a staff of around 40 employees. The keys are efficient management and the use of the latest technology.
Eilif (he goes by Lief) was a consultant to several companies before starting his own operation and he knows what is needed for success. “I understand the industry and I have the contacts,” he pointed out. He just needed to have the right system. “We have developed our own software and have our own technical person on site,” Olesen said.
But the phone is answered by a live person, not a computer and every evening an e-mail is sent to the insurance carrier to let them know the status of each case handled during the day. “We are really big on customer service, and while we want to keep costs down, we are also patient advocates,” Olesen emphasized.

Each day the company coordinates hundreds of transportation trips for workers’ compensation and other needs. This includes ambulatory, air escort, wheelchair, critical care and air ambulance. Language services include written translation as well as telephonic and onsite interpretation in over 110 languages and dialects.
The company provides management of home and vehicle modifications, wheelchairs, ceiling mounted lifts and stair glides as well as ramp systems. All ancillary services and programs are comprehensive as well as durable medical equipment services.

Olesen also knows that the company is only as good as the vendors who provide the direct services and have established a credentialing process before a vendor is brought into the company. As they do with their patients and insurers, the Olesen management team also keeps in touch with vendors. “We send a thank you letter with every check letting them know we appreciate them being part of the network,” Olesen said.
“We seek to be proactive and anticipate needs even before they surface so we are ready to provide the right service at the right time. We only send out a bill when everyone is satisfied.”
