Lifetime Achievement Award
Honors Attorney David Levine

The Florida Workers' Compensation Institute (FWCI) honored the late David Levine, a well known workers' compensation attorney who passed away earlier this year. Levine was remembered by fellow claimants' attorney and lifelong friend, Gerald Rosenthal, as "a man who cared about his clients" and gave them everything he had when he represented them.

Rosenthal presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Levine's wife, Donna. "I want his children to know how much he was respected," Donna Levine told the audience upon receiving the award.

Rosenthal fondly remembered his friend, who he first met at the University of Florida where they were fraternity brothers. "As an attorney he was a man who never trivialized his clients and gave no quarter in fighting for the rights of the injured worker," Rosenthal told the World Center Marriott audience. "He helped create and lobbied for many of the laws that make up the workers' compensation system," Rosenthal added.
