Dr. Paul Meli was welcomed by BARN member Barbara Martelli, RN. Dr. Meli, an orthopedic surgeon, was among the featured speakers at the conference, along with Marc Buoniconti of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. Featured in the photo are nurses Sue Brown, Abbi Bentz and Ina Fletcher.

The Broward Association of Rehabilitation Nurses held their annual conference in March and heard the news that the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis will begin clinical trials on humans within the next year.

Marc Buoniconti of the Project presented the news in a keynote speech.
