Science Program Offers Internships
For College Students with Disabilities

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has developed a program to recruit undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities who are pursuing degrees in science, engineering, mathematics, computer science and some fields of business. The students accepted into the program serve in paid summer internships.

The program, called EntryPoint! includes opportunities in private industry and government agencies. The internships provide real world experiences with the availability of mentoring and assistive technology. Applications are accepted from September through April 1 each year for the following summer program.

The web site www.aaas.org provides extensive information about the opportunities for students with disabilities and various other programs managed through EntryPoint! For example there is access to a directory of scientists and engineers with disabilities.
